Would it be possible for CBDBUG to produce a form letter with sample words / text that we could customise / address to send to our local members. That why it makes it easier for lots of people to send letters.

I love this website. Much more informative (and much more current) than the Bris City Council’s bikepath info site.

I commute between New Farm and UQ St Lucia. For the last six months or more, I’ve had to put up with the detours created by the ‘Hale St East’ upgrade. I know it’s part of a larger project but it was a section of the bikepath that I never found to be particularly congested. I think the worst bit (by far) in the CBD is the section between Riverside and the Botanic Gardens. This stretch is ALWAYS a problem for both pedestrians and cyclists.

Does anyone know if there are any plans to address this?

I’d like to see CityCycle become an option for mixed mode transport. Having CityCycle stations at train stations and at radial locations near to
the station could help introduce people to cycling an get cars off the road. For example, many people drive to Indooroopilly station, to the extent that parking is a problem. There is also the shopping centre nearby. A CityCycle station at the shops and at the train station could form the hub of a local network.

What about places like Mitchelton train station,its only a 400mtr ride to the start of the Kedron Brooke bikeaway,and then from there you have a huge scope of where one could investigate on bicycle.If cycling tourists want to see Brisbane by bike then using the complete Translink network should be included in the rollout of new sations.And yes i know its called City Cycle but maybe thats part of the problem,people only think of it as a CBD installation.
