Path closures, York’s Hollow

Transcity will be closing parts of the bike path on the northern side of the ICB, just west of the Victoria Park Land Bridge for tree felling. Some of the trees are located immediately adjacent to pathways in the area. To fell the trees safely, one arm of the pathway network will be closed with pedestrians/ cyclists detoured around the Duck’s Pond. Another section of the pathway will be partially closed with stop/ slow implemented as necessary.

Transcity will have qualified traffic controllers on site to manage pedestrian/ cyclist movements in the area. A Police Officer will also be on site to assist if necessary.

The works are planned to start at 7 am on Thursday, 22 March, and are expected to be finished in 1-2 days, with the possibility of extending into early next week in the case of inclement weather.
