BCC advises that replacement of the final sections of the fencing along the City Reach Boardwalk will commence on Monday 23 January 2012. The work will be done in stages along the boardwalk commencing at the Eagle Street Pier ramp then continue through each stage from Admiralty Towers to Customs House then finally completing Eagle Street Pier. The work is expected to take several months.

Safety fencing will need to be installed at each work section as the old fencing needs to be removed and new fencing installed. This may involve welding.

Disruption to cyclists and pedestrians will be kept to a minimum, however, users are advised to expect some minor inconvenience and possible delays.
