Draft Brisbane Active Transport Strategy 2012–2026 released

Brisbane City Council has released its draft Active Transport Strategy 2012–2026 ( PDF, 9.9 MB), replacing the previous Brisbane Active Transport Strategy: Walking and Cycling Plan 2005–2010 ( PDF, 4.1 MB).

Prior to its public release the plan attracted some media coverage last week, along with renewed attention for the plan to extend the separated bike lane on George Street.

The new plan is very light on content, but Council is asking for feedback via an online survey, by email to activetransport@brisbane.qld.gov.au, or by post to:

Feedback closes on Friday, 24 February 2012.
