Recent Australian and international cycling safety research.

The Australasian Road Safety Conference and the International Cycling Safety Conference were both held this month. This presentation will begin by describing the cycling safety research presented at these two conferences. This will be followed by a more detailed discussion of recent CARRS-Q research presented at these conferences. These projects related to cyclists passing pedestrians, drivers’ ability to judge distances when passing cyclists, the evaluation of the MPD rule in NSW, and training novice drivers in interacting safely with cyclists.
